Driving south east from Houston you are immediately heading into the monstrous refineries of Pasadena ]. There at the Gulf Coast crude oil gets cracked into WTI – West Texas Intermdiate. There is this constant background hum and the smell of sulphur. The sites are highly secured and not a living soul is in sight from the outside . Pasadena refineries look menacing glowing there in the dark .It is technology at its overpowering. If hell could be beautiful, it would look like Pasadena at night.
